PLC Task Force
Increasing the Algebra 1 Success Rate
as a whole school solution

Questions this group is considering:

  • How do we make math lasting within students? Does time play a role in the failure rate (I.e. 4 X 4 block)?
  • How can we use multiple teaching strategies within a lesson?
  • What strategies are used in other departments that might address this problem?
  • What is the profile of the failing Algebra 1 student and how can knowing this assist us in transforming our teaching?
