Among our strongest supporters, it is the parents of our students who say “The people who are happy with Fremont are the people who have kids at Fremont.” Parents express their support of Fremont by being involved on campus and volunteering in the library, student store, and in classrooms as well as in clubs. Parents are also the backbone of boosters groups that assist sports teams, band, choir, and drama groups. Another key area of involvement for parents is in school leadership via their positions on the FHS School Site Council, ELAC (English Learners Advisory Committee), PTSA (Parent Student Teacher Association), and Los Padres (the parent group for Spanish-speaking parents).
“Fremont is more than just a great school; it’s a real family.”
Barbara Pease, parent of member of the FHS Class of 1996, 2001, and 2013
“FHS is a highly successful, fully integrated high school. It has very good teachers---some are absolutely outstanding---and a flexible caring staff. At Fremont, students develop their character. The school trains people, not just school subjects. If you have a problem and you have been taught how to solve it then you are more likely to be successful than if you don’t have these skills.”
Holly Lofgren, parent of member of the FHS Class of 2006 and 2008
“I have worked with James Maxwell, the Principal, the three Assistant Principals, and the two Deans. They care about every student. They are proud of their programs, their teachers, and support staff---and fiercely proud of FHS students.”
Mary Depew, parent of member of the FHS Class of 2011
“Our son still comments frequently about what a great school Fremont is. He is absolutely thriving there! He loves his classes and teachers.”
Terry Chavez, parent of member of the FHS Class of 2013
