Firebird Marching Band Wins 1st Ever Grand Sweepstakes Award!

 

On October 22, 2011, at the Foothill Band Review, YOUR Firebird Marching Band won it’s first ever Grand Sweepstakes award given to the band with the highest combined total parade and field show score. The band scored a 92.95 in parade and a 92.65 in field. These two scores were good for 1st place in the division for each competition. They were 4th overall in parade out of 40 bands only behind groups that do parade only. Additionally, the color guard section placed 4th in the parade overall and in 1st for the field show competition overall. For a band of our size, this is a major accomplishment that was the result of hard work, focus, and by doing their school work on a daily basis.
