All schools within the Fremont Union High School District (Cupertino, Fremont, Homestead, Lynbrook, and Monta Vista High Schools) offer the same core curriculum made up of those courses required to meet graduation requirements and entrance requirements of the University of California, California State Universities, and community colleges. Fremont High School offers 19 college level honors and Advanced Placement courses in every core academic department including AP Calculus, AP Statistics, AP Biology, AP Physics, AP English Literature, AP US Government, AP US History, and AP Music Theory.
“The AP classes that my son took at FHS allowed him to start at UC San Diego with 22 units, skipping 2 quarters of calculus and entering the university with his American Institute requirement fulfilled.”
Janelle Rose, parent of members of the FHS Class of 2005 and 2008
“My son’s biotechnology class is so good that there are students there from Homestead and Lynbrook High Schools. I’m impressed with the experiments they are doing and the class is like a college lab class.”
Lana Klier, parent of member of the FHS Class of 2012
“The FHS administration works hard to ensure AP classes are scheduled throughout the day so a student can take as many as he/she can reasonable handle.”
Lisa Bonetti, parent of FHS Alumni
