                <title>A Guide to Summer Learning and Activities</title>
                <description><![CDATA[Summer learning loss is a huge problem and a significant contributor to the achievement gap. Most children lose an average of one month of skills but the numbers for low income families are much higher. In order to help combat this with City of San Jose and Santa Clara County Office of Education in partnership with EdJigsaw have developed San Jose Beyond the Bell. San Jose Beyond the Bell is an online tool to help parents connect to the best out of school programs for their child, including programs in Sunnyvale. Parents can search online for camps, museums and events in their local area.
