University of California

There are 9 Undergraduate Campuses that make up the University of California System.  There is a single application for undergraduate admissions for all campuses.  The UC Admissions Home Page includes a wide range of information to help you prepare for a UC education and then to apply for admission and attend one of UC campuses.  The High School Course Requirements for entrance into a UC or CSU can be found here

California State University

There are 23 California State University (CSU) campuses throughout California.  The CSU Mentor Website can help you explore the different campuses, and will assist in matching you with a University. There is one application for all 23 campuses which can also be found at the website above. The High School Course Requirements for entrance into a CSU or UC can be found here.

Private / Independent Universities

Private/Independent Universities have school specific admissions requirements so it is very important to visit each campus website to see what is required.  Most campuses do ask for the Common Application, as well as a variety of other documents.  To find out about California's Private/Independent Colleges, visit AICCU.org.

California Community Colleges

California has a great Community College System for those students who may not be ready to go to a four year institution right out of High School.  Often times, students do not get into their 'Dream University' during their senior year, so going to Community College for two years, then transferring to the University is a great option.  Community College can also be utilized for those students who have not fulfilled all University requirements while in high school. Visit the CA Community College website for more information on the campuses.
