FHS Performing Arts Department
Location: Music/Main Building
The performing arts emphasize the use of the intellect as well as the development of sensitivity, creativity, and the capacity to make reasoned, aesthetic decisions while exploring the range of human experience. As language is a primary component of drama, students develop poise, confidence, ease, and versatility in verbal presentation. Since California is rich in cultural diversity, strong music education programs contribute significantly to the development of knowledge, understanding and appreciation of the society in which we live. There are several ways to enter into performing arts, but always these courses result in successful interactions, performances, and products.
