This Friday, 4th block starts at 8:40.  Please join us for the senior rally at 10:22 in the large gym.

Students, all library books that you still have are officially overdue. It is important that you return any checked out books as soon as possible. Any books that are not returned this school year will be marked lost and you will be charged a fine for the cost of the book. If you have any questions or concerns please see Mrs. Birdsong or Mr. Zamora in the library to discuss the matter before it’s too late.

Are you interested in Color Guard? Do you like to Dance? Do you like to perform for enthusiastic audiences? Do you want to be a part of the Firebird Marching Band? The Fremont Color Guard will hold auditions and workshops on Saturday, May 30 from 9am-1pm on the main football field. No experience is required, just a good attitude and a desire to perform. For more information, see Mr. Kelly in the music building.

The Yearbook Signing Party is this Friday after school in the small gym from 3:30 to 5:30.  Come pick up your already ordered yearbook or bring your money and buy one for $85.  If you haven't already ordered one, bring your $85 to Mrs. Moyoli this week or to the party to receive it on Friday.  The books will still be for next week until June 5th, or until they sell out.

Come support the Dance 1 students as they perform in their End of the Year Student Choreography Showcase tonight, Thursday, in the main gym at 6pm.  Admission is free!  We hope to see you there!

Class of 2017, please come out to the ASB room at lunch, Friday, May 29th to talk about next years homecoming theme and fundraisers.

Senior picnic tickets will be on sale at lunch in the amphitheater every day this week.  The cost is $25 and this includes your transportation, food, plus fun and games!

All textbooks need to be returned and any fees paid in order for you to complete senior checkout on Monday.   Please see directions on School Loop News for checking your online textbook and library account to make sure all your books have been cleared.  Taking care of any questions ahead of time will speed up the checkout process for everyone.

Attention students who have signed up for AP classes next year. Today during this block you will receive an up to the minute list of the AP classes you are signed up for. Use that as your guide as to which AP meetings to attend. Your teachers will explain any summer work and go over course expectations. The first meeting begins today, and it is AP Lit. Ms. Schuet will greet you in the small auditorium. Tomorrow, Duus Sensei will be discussing AP Japanese. Please make plans to attend as important information will be shared that you won’t want to miss. If you don’t make it, it is your responsibility to find out about what information you missed.

For those of you new to Fremont this year, students from ACT classes have been collecting recycling for several years.  We collect both paper and bottles/cans.  Bottles/cans (drinks only; no dairy) are taken to the recycle plant by Carlos and friends.  Proceeds go to FHS flower/tulip fund. 25% is retained for student/classroom needs.  Every classroom should have separate bins for paper and bottles/cans.  If not, please let us know. (B. Cooter)
