Join LSU at lunch today, Wednesday, September 17 to help us celebrate Independence Day for different Latin American countries: We will be in the amphitheater playing music from all sorts of regions and styles. Learn about different country flags and their date of independence…see if you're country is represented! See you there! (R. Agredano)


The library will be closed all day on Thursday, Septemer18 due to testing.  Please plan ahead as you will not have access to the computers or printer during the school day that day.  Students for Success will be open after school. (M. Birdsong)
The Page Turner student book club and book review group will meet today, Wednesday, September 17 at lunch in room 85.  All are welcome to come hear the buzz on the latest books.  Also, be sure to stop by our table at club day, as we will be holding a free raffle for a copy of the brand new book, "I'll Give You the Sun” by Jandy Nelson.  The reviews say that fans of John Green will love this one! Hey Fremont!  Are you interested in learning Bruce Lee's philosophy of self-defense?  If so, come out to the JKD/Kali club's first meeting on Thursday, September 18 at lunch in room 145 to learn this brilliant style and some cool moves. (G. Beckstrom)


Hey Firebirds! Korean Club is starting up again! Come hang out and learn the culture of Korea, as well as pick up a few new dance moves. We're meeting in room 163 every Fridays at lunch, so come on by and join in on the fun! (J. Kim)

Nepal,Bangladesh, Pakistan, India, Sri Lanka, Bhutan--these are all countries of South Asia. Would you like to learn more about South Asian culture, food, or events? Recycling collection will be on Wednesdays.  Rooms 1 and 6 students will collect recycling this coming Wednesday during 4th block, beginning at 9:30.  Recycle bins will need to be placed outside classrooms by 9:30, and I will send a reminder Wednesday morning. 
For those of you new to Fremont this year, students from ACT classes have been collecting recycling for several years.  We collect both paper and bottles/cans.  Bottles/cans (drinks only; no dairy) are taken to the recycle plant by Carlos and friends.  Proceeds go to FHS flower/tulip fund.  25% is retained for student/classroom needs.  Every classroom should have separate bins for paper and bottles/cans.
