What is DECA?

Fremont DECA-Interact is a club, unique to Fremont High School, that couples social responsibility with a thorough grounding in business. We, as a club, look beyond just ourselves to try to help others in our community, and focus on giving members training in business that will go beyond just high school and into college and real-life experiences.

Our Goals Include:

Social Intelligence:

-Develop high ethical standards in personal and business relationships
-Develop international relations and understand differences in culture

Leadership Development:

-Develop self-confidence and self-acceptance
-Develop a healthy competitive

Civic Consciousness:

-Develop greater appreciations of the responsibilities of citizenship
-Develop business and community etiquette

Vocational Understanding:

-Develop a greater understanding of our free enterprise system
-Develop occupational competencies needed for the business setting

DECA meetings and events

Today: 11/21/09

Current Events

October 24th (FUN EVENT): We will have a Corn Maze Event, in which we go around a maze and work as a team to get out without "dieing."  This will be lots of fun, so please sign up in the back of Mr. Olsen's room!!!  We will meet in Fremont's back parking lot at 6pm and be back at around 10-11pm.  This cost is $10 each, please also have the money in hand when you sign up.  Finally, if your parents are ready, willing, and able to drive some of us over to the GM farms (on Airway Blvd off of I580 in Livermore,CA) please tell Mr. Olsen!!!

October 29th: We will be going over to help Senior Citizen's carve pumpkins!  Come to the back of Mr. Olsen's room to sign up.  This event will be from 4pm-6pm, and the location is TBA (I will try to get you the address ASAP)!  Come and show your Halloween and Senior Citizen PRIDE!!!
